Nine Lives Network ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you play our game.
By using Nine Lives Network, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2.1 Information from X (Twitter)
When you sign in with X, we receive:

- Spell casts (replies to objective tweets)
- Points earned
- Territory contributions
- Timestamps of activity
2.4 Automatically Collected
- Browser type and version
- Device type
- IP address (for security purposes)
- Pages visited and time spent
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your game account
- Display your profile on leaderboards
- Process spell casts and calculate points
- Track territory control and game progress
- Communicate game updates (via X, not email)
- Detect and prevent cheating or abuse
- Improve the game experience
4. Information Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal information. Ever.
We may share information with:
- Service Providers — Supabase (database), Replit (hosting), Anthropic (AI)
- Other Players — Your username, school, points, and rank are publicly visible on leaderboards
- Legal Requirements — If required by law or to protect our rights
5. Public Information
The following information is publicly visible to all players:
- Your X username and profile image
- Your school affiliation
- Your guild tag (if provided)
- Your points and leaderboard rank
- Your spell casts (these are public X replies anyway)
If you don't want this information public, please don't play. The game is inherently social.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on:
- Supabase — PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest
- Replit — Application hosting with HTTPS
We implement reasonable security measures, but no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use:
- Local Storage — To remember your player ID for login persistence
- Session Cookies — For authentication state during OAuth
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics (yet). If we add them, we'll update this policy.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of your data
- Correction — Ask us to fix inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and data
- Portability — Receive your data in a portable format

- We'll verify your identity and delete your data within 30 days
Note: Public leaderboard history may be retained in anonymized form.
10. Children's Privacy
Nine Lives Network is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
11. International Users
Our servers are located in the United States. If you're accessing the Game from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
For EU/UK users: By using the Game, you consent to this transfer. We aim to comply with GDPR principles.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Game after changes means you accept the new policy.
